The Knode node: a rugged black weatherproof enclosure with cable glands and an antenna connector
The system

Simple hardware. Smart system.

Rugged sensors you fit yourself, a long-range network that reaches the back paddock, and a platform that turns every reading into something you can act on.

How it fits together

From the water to your phone.

  1. 01SensorsMeasure tank levels, flow and pump activity where the water is.
  2. 02NodeCollects readings from the sensors at each point and sends them on.
  3. 03NetworkA long-range, low-power network carries it off the property. No Wi-Fi needed.
  4. 04Knode platformStores every reading, spots what's unusual and works out your daily use.
  5. 05YouLive dashboards on desktop and phone, and alerts by text and email.
The hardware

Built for the paddock. Fitted by you.

Every point on your map gets one Knode node, plus the sensors that point needs. It all arrives pre-configured.

Knode node

The heart of each monitoring point. Connects up to 2 tank sensors, 3 flow meter connectors and 1 pump monitor, and sends their readings to the platform.

A Knode tank level sensor fitted on top of a farm water tank, overlooking hill country

Tank level sensor

Sits on top of a tank or trough and measures the water level, so you see percentage full, litres and depth.

Measures
Level, volume, % full

Flow meter connector

Connects to the flow meter on your supply or distribution line to track flow rate and daily use, and flags water moving when it shouldn't be. The flow meter itself isn't included.

Measures
Flow rate (L/min), daily volume

Pump monitor

Clips around the pump's power cable to show when it runs, for how long and how hard it's working. A change in draw is often the first sign of a fault.

Connectivity

Reaches the back paddock.

Knode uses a long-range, low-power wireless network designed for sensors spread across big properties. There's no Wi-Fi to extend, no cables to run between paddocks, and batteries that last for years, not weeks.
